First of all... the reason behind the blog name: I'm 5'2"!
I was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. A former competitive figure skater, I met the Mister at the age of 16, in 11th grade English class. He played football; I was a cheerleader. The Mister grew up in what I like to call "the sticks of Texas" and moved to North Carolina right before middle school. His family still owns a farm in Texas, and although I'm a city girl, I'm proud to be a Texan by marriage!
The Mister and I attended the same university and were both college cheerleaders. We were married the month after we graduated from college (2006) and we both went on to law school. We practice law together and we absolutely love working together.
I majored in Psychology in college, and growing up, I never expected to go into law. It is a challenge every day, but I know that I am reaching out to help others.
Today, I also coach figure skating lessons part-time and am addicted to Starbucks, chocolate, reality TV, a good book, decorating our first house, acoustic music, New York City, Diet Dr. Pepper, and blogging! I can't cook or sing but I do both anyway. Sometimes at the same time.
We are so blessed to be expecting our first child in August of 2013. I post my pregnancy updates here.
Vlogging is my thing and I post weekly vlogs on my YouTube channel and I post them on this ol' blog as well. You can see all the vlogs here.
I am a follower of Jesus and cannot believe the ways in which He has blessed me.
